It seems most furniture design references mention the golden rectangle. Far less likely would be finding a mention pi as it relates to design.
Perhaps the exclusion of pi is because it is viewed as an element of circles, which are absent in many of the popular furniture styles. As the video below demonstrates however, pi can have linear implications.
